United Way is a national network of local organizations that work to improve the lives of communities in India by focusing on education, health and livelihood.

United Way of India is the national organization dedicated to leading the United Way movement in the country. Local United Ways create long-lasting community change by addressing the underlying causes of the most significant local issues. Our goal is to create long-lasting changes by addressing the underlying causes of problems.

United Way Worldwide is the leadership organization for the network of nearly 4,000 community-based United Ways in 46 countries and territories. They advance the common good, creating opportunities for a better life for all by focusing on education, income and health. The United Way movement mobilizes millions to action - to give, advocate and volunteer - to improve the conditions in which they live.

The United Way model looks somewhat different in different locations, as founding groups adopt the essential values and activities of United Way, then adapt some features to local circumstances and cultures.
